Lecture

        Prof. Huang Da, from Renmin University of China, is very famous economist in China and a founder of China Financial Economics Society and Honorary Director of China Financial Policy Research Center. He used to be the President of Renmin University of China, Chairman of China Financial Economics Society and the Commissioner of the first Monetary Policy Committee of the People's Bank of China.


        Prof. Mundell is Professor in International Economics, from Columbia University in the City of New York and the Honorary Doctor from Renmin University of China. He won the Nobel Prize for Economics in 1999 for his "Theory on the Choice of Financial Policies under Different Foreign Exchange Rate System". He is highly praised by the international community as "the Father of Euro".


        Named after Prof. Huang Da and Prof. Mundel, "Mundel- Huang Da Lectures on Economics" are co-hosted by China Financial Policy Research Center and School of Financial at Renmin University of China.


        The aim of the Lecture Series is to build a bridge for Chinese-foreign exchanges of economics studies as well as contributing to the advancement of finance theory studies in China. This goal is to be achieved by regularly inviting experts from home and abroad to the research base as well as holding high-level academic lectures on economics, the frontier developments of finance theories in particular.


Lecture Series by Famous Overseas Economists.

        Famous overseas economists are invited to give lectures on the frontiers of economics theories abroad. Each year at least one Nobel Prize Laurel for economics, and three to four well-known economists abroad are expected to give lectures in China.


Lecture Series by Outstanding Chinese Scholars.

        This lecture series plan to invite overseas Chinese economists who have acquired academic achievements to give lectures in China. During the process of opening-up and reform, many Chinese students have gone abroad and made great success in the field of economics. Many of them have succeeded in becoming tenure professors or senior economists in the first-class universities and research institutes around the world. FRC (China Financial Policy Center) plans to invite some of these overseas scholars to give lectures for the Center on the current economic issues in China.


Advanced Lecture Series by Economic Policy Makers.


        This lecture series plan to invite China's policy makes in the public finance, finance and economic management circle to give lectures on current economic conditions and economic policy in China.
